AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for authority to arrest or cite outside
3 of State park or forest lands.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6314. Authority to arrest or cite outside of State park or
9 forest lands.
10 Individuals appointed and commissioned by the Department of
11 Conservation and Natural Resources to preserve order in the
12 State park or State forest lands are specifically authorized to
13 enforce those provisions of this title which designate
14 violations as summary offenses of operation of an all-terrain
15 vehicle even if the violation occurs outside of State park and
16 State forest lands. The authority includes the power to stop
17 vehicles suspected of summary offenses, to issue citations for
18 summary offenses and, if a vehicle is stopped for a suspected
1 summary offense, to make arrests where evidence appears of
2 additional offenses designated as misdemeanors or felonies.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
