AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Labor and Industry
2 for payment to the Vocational Rehabilitation Fund for the
3 fiscal year 2003-2004; and making a repeal.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Appropriation.
7 The following amount is appropriated to the Department of
8 Labor and Industry for fiscal year 2003-2004:
9 For the payment to the Vocational Rehabilitation Fund for the
10 work of the State Board of Vocational Rehabilitation. This
11 appropriation includes an amount of $2,696,500 for the Statewide
12 provision of specialized services and prevention of blindness
13 services.
14 State appropriation........................38,083,000
15 Section 2. Construction.
16 Except as otherwise provided in section 3, this act shall be
17 construed consistent with the act of March 20, 2003 (P.L.,
1 No.1A), known as the General Appropriation Act of 2003, and any
2 provision in that act that applies to appropriations to the
3 Department of Labor and Industry shall apply to this act.
4 Section 3. Repeal.
5 The State appropriation in the amount of $37,083,000 to the
6 Department of Labor and Industry for payment to the Vocational
7 Rehabilitation Fund for the work of the State Board of
8 Vocational Rehabilitation in section 217 of the act of March 20,
9 2003 (P.L., No.1A), known as the General Appropriation Act of
10 2003, is repealed.
11 Section 4. Effective date.
12 This act shall take effect July 1, 2003, or immediately,
13 whichever is later.
