AN ACT
1 Abolishing mandatory medical malpractice insurance.
2 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
3 hereby enacts as follows:
4 Section 1. Medical malpractice insurance.
5 Notwithstanding the provisions of any other act to the
6 contrary, a physician practicing in this Commonwealth shall not
7 be required to purchase medical malpractice insurance or any
8 other insurance related to the practice of medicine.
9 Section 2. Effective date.
10 This act shall take effect immediately.
