AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for a Pride in America registration
3 plate.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 1361. Pride in America plate.
9 Upon application of any person who has contributed at least
10 $50 to a charitable organization or relief fund which benefits
11 victims of terrorism or war, accompanied by the annual
12 registration fee and such documentation as the department shall
13 require, the department shall issue to such person a special
14 registration plate designating the vehicle so licensed as
15 belonging to a person who has so contributed. The Department of
16 State shall identify and prepare a list of approved charitable
17 organizations and relief funds for purposes of this section. The
1 special registration plate may be used only on a passenger car
2 or truck with a registered gross weight of not more than 9,000
3 pounds.
4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
