           MUSTO, BRIGHTBILL, WAGNER, HOLL, MURPHY, O'PAKE, COSTA,
           KITCHEN, LEMMOND, DENT, M. WHITE, CONTI, SCHWARTZ, STOUT,
           WOZNIAK, GREENLEAF, WAUGH, THOMPSON, TOMLINSON, BOSCOLA,
           C. WILLIAMS, ARMSTRONG, STACK AND RHOADES, SEPTEMBER 27, 2002

        REFERRED TO MILITARY AND VETERANS AFFAIRS, SEPTEMBER 27, 2002

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Designating the month of October 2002 as "Agent Orange
     2     Recognition Month" in Pennsylvania.

     3     WHEREAS, During the Vietnam War the Federal Government used
     4  more than 10.6 million gallons of the herbicide and defoliant
     5  2,4-D and 2,4,5-T, known as "Agent Orange"; and
     6     WHEREAS, Thousands of Vietnam War veterans have died due to
     7  the use of Agent Orange and thousands more still suffer with the
     8  cancer and other health disorders caused by their exposure to
     9  Agent Orange; and
    10     WHEREAS, Veterans living with health problems caused by Agent
    11  Orange must also live with the fact that genetic damage caused
    12  by their exposure to Agent Orange may be handed down through
    13  generations; therefore be it
    14     RESOLVED, That the Senate designate the month of October 2002
    15  as "Agent Orange Recognition Month" in Pennsylvania.
