A RESOLUTION
1 Designating the week of November 25 through December 1, 2001, as
2 "Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, Pancreatic cancer kills 30,000 people a year and is
4 the fourth leading cause of cancer deaths in this country; and
5 WHEREAS, It is important for everyone to be aware of the
6 seriousness of this disease and the need to support Federal
7 funding of research to determine its effective treatment and
8 possible cure; therefore be it
9 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
10 week of November 25 through December 1, 2001, as "Pancreatic
11 Cancer Awareness Week" in Pennsylvania.
