                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, providing for admissions tax
     3     exemption, for State park fee exemption and for municipal
     4     parking meter fee exemption.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     8  Statutes is amended by adding a chapter to read:
     9                             CHAPTER 95
    10                       MISCELLANEOUS BENEFITS
    11  Sec.
    12  9501.  Admissions tax exemption.
    13  9502.  State park fee exemption for disabled veterans.
    14  9503.  Municipal parking meter fee exemption.
    15  §  9501.  Admissions tax exemption.
    16     No veteran shall be required to pay a tax for the benefit of
    17  admission to athletic contests in which a junior American Legion
    18  athletic team participates unless the proceeds inure to

     1  individual players in the form of salary or otherwise.
     2  § 9502.  State park fee exemption for disabled veterans.
     3     (a)  General rule.--Any resident of this Commonwealth who is
     4  a permanently and totally disabled veteran may enter any State
     5  park without charge upon presentation of supporting disability
     6  documentation or a Commonwealth Parks Pass that may be obtained
     7  without charge from the Department of Conservation and Natural
     8  Resources for any eligible veteran. All fees for services within
     9  a State park shall apply to veterans.
    10     (b)  Departmental duty.--The Department of Conservation and
    11  Natural Resources shall develop an application and Commonwealth
    12  Parks Pass to carry out the provisions of this section.
    13  § 9503.  Municipal parking meter fee exemption.
    14     Any resident of this Commonwealth who owns and operates a
    15  vehicle bearing a registration plate issued under 75 Pa.C.S. §
    16  1342 (relating to veteran plates and placard), 1345 (relating to
    17  special plates for recipients of the Medal of Honor) or 1346
    18  (relating to special plates for recipients of Purple Heart)
    19  shall be exempt from the payment of any parking fee lawfully
    20  imposed by a municipality.
    21     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
