AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation from the Health Endowment Account for
2 Long-Term Hope in the Tobacco Settlement Fund to provide for
3 expenses of the Tobacco Settlement Investment Board for the
4 fiscal year July 1, 2002, to June 30, 2003, and for the
5 payment of bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the close
6 of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2002.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. The sum of $326,000, or as much thereof as may be
10 necessary, is hereby appropriated from the Health Endowment
11 Account for Long-Term Hope in the Tobacco Settlement Fund to the
12 Tobacco Settlement Investment Board for the payment of all
13 salaries, wages and other compensation and travel expenses of
14 the employees and members of the Tobacco Settlement Investment
15 Board, for contractual services and other expenses necessary for
16 the proper conduct of the duties, functions and activities of
17 the board for the fiscal year July 1, 2002, and for the payment
18 of bills incurred and remaining unpaid at the close of the
19 fiscal year ending June 30, 2002. NO FUNDS APPROPRIATED FOR THE <--
1 PURPOSE OF ADMINISTERING OR OPERATING THE ADULT BASIC COVERAGE
2 INSURANCE PROGRAM SHALL BE USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE EXCEPT FOR
3 INVESTMENT PURPOSES OR TRANSFERRED TO ANY OTHER FUND EXCEPT FOR
4 THE PURPOSE OF ADMINISTERING OR OPERATING THE ADULT BASIC
5 COVERAGE INSURANCE PROGRAM.
6 SECTION 2. NO FUNDS APPROPRIATED UNDER THIS ACT SHALL BE
7 USED FOR ANY PURPOSE NOT AUTHORIZED UNDER THE ACT OF JUNE 26,
8 2001 (P.L.755, NO.77), KNOWN AS THE TOBACCO SETTLEMENT ACT.
9 Section 2 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2002, or <--
