AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Community and
2 Economic Development for shared municipal services.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Appropriation
6 The sum of $3,000,000 is hereby appropriated to the
7 Department of Community and Economic Development for shared
8 municipal services including $600,000 to support feasibility
9 studies and to effectively assist implementation of a merger or
10 consolidation, $600,000 for volunteer fire and ambulance squads
11 that merged or were consolidated prior to the effective date of
12 this act and $600,000 to provide support for regional police
13 agencies that are in existence on the effective date of this
14 act.
15 Section 2. Effective date.
1 This act shall take effect immediately.
