                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for footrests and handlebars on
     3     motorcycles.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Section 3524 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     7  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     8  § 3524.  Footrests and [handlebars] handhold.
     9     [(a)  Passengers.--]Any motorcycle carrying a passenger,
    10  other than in a sidecar or enclosed cab, shall be equipped with
    11  footrests and handhold for the passenger.
    12     [(b)  Height of handlebars.--No person shall operate any
    13  motorcycle with handlebars above shoulder-height of the operator
    14  while properly seated upon the motorcycle.]

     1     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
