AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Academy of Natural Sciences for
2 maintenance expenses.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $447,000 (A) THE SUM OF $460,000 is <--
6 hereby appropriated to the Academy of Natural Sciences,
7 Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1, 2001, to June 30,
8 2002, for the purpose of maintenance of the academy.
9 (B) THE SUM OF $100,000 IS HEREBY APPROPRIATED TO THE <--
10 ACADEMY OF NATURAL SCIENCES, PHILADELPHIA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
11 JULY 1, 2001, TO JUNE 30, 2002, FOR OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL
12 ACTIVITIES.
13 Section 2. Payments to the Academy of Natural Sciences on
14 account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made
15 quarterly by the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania
16 Historical and Museum Commission.
1 Section 3. The Academy of Natural Sciences shall provide
2 full, complete and accurate information as may be required by
3 the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission or the
4 chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations
5 Committee of the Senate or the chairman or the minority chairman
6 of the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives.
7 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 2001, or
8 immediately, whichever is later.
