HOUSE BILL

        SENATOR TILGHMAN, APPROPRIATIONS, IN SENATE, RE-REPORTED AS
           AMENDED, JUNE 11, 2001

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making an appropriation to the Mercer Museum in Doylestown,
     2     Pennsylvania, for operating expenses.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The sum of $185,000 $191,000 is hereby             <--
     6  appropriated to the Mercer Museum in Doylestown, Pennsylvania,
     7  for the fiscal year July 1, 2001, to June 30, 2002, for
     8  operating expenses, including maintenance and the purchase of
     9  apparatus, supplies and equipment.
    10     Section 2.  Payments to the Mercer Museum on account of the
    11  appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made quarterly by
    12  the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum
    13  Commission.
    14     Section 3.  The Mercer Museum shall provide full, complete
    15  and accurate information as may be required by the Pennsylvania
    16  Historical and Museum Commission or the chairman or the minority


     1  chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the
     2  chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations
     3  Committee of the House of Representatives.
     4     Section 4.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2001, or
     5  immediately, whichever is later.
