AN ACT 1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated 2 Statutes, further providing for supervision of operating 3 privilege; and making an editorial change. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Section 1532(a) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania 7 Consolidated Statutes is amended and the section is amended by 8 adding a subsection to read: 9 § 1532. Suspension of operating privilege. 10 (a) One-year suspension.--The department shall suspend the 11 operating privilege of any driver for one year upon receiving a 12 certified record of the driver's conviction of or an 13 adjudication of delinquency based on any of the following 14 offenses: 15 (1) Any felony in the commission of which a court 16 determines that a vehicle was essentially involved. 17 [(2) Any violation of section 3735 (relating to homicide 18 by vehicle while driving under influence).]
1 (3) Any violation of the following provisions: 2 [Section 3732 (relating to homicide by vehicle).] 3 Section 3735.1 (relating to aggravated assault by 4 vehicle while driving under the influence). 5 Section 3742 (relating to accidents involving death 6 or personal injury). 7 Section 3742.1 (relating to accidents involving death 8 or personal injury while not properly licensed). 9 [Section 7102(b) (relating to removal or 10 falsification of identification number). 11 Section 7103(b) (relating to dealing in vehicles with 12 removed or falsified numbers).] 13 Section 7111 (relating to dealing in titles and 14 plates for stolen vehicles). 15 Section 7121 (relating to false application for 16 certificate of title or registration). 17 Section 7122 (relating to altered, forged or 18 counterfeit documents and plates). 19 Section 4 of the act of November 24, 1998 (P.L.874, 20 No.110), known as the Motor Vehicle Chop Shop and 21 Illegally Obtained and Altered Property Act. 22 (a.1) Three-year suspension.--The department shall suspend 23 the operating privilege of any driver for the greater of three 24 years or until the driver attains the age of 21 years upon 25 receiving a certified record of the driver's conviction of or an 26 adjudication of delinquency based on a violation of any of the 27 following offenses: 28 (1) Any violation of section 3732 (relating to homicide 29 by vehicle). 30 (2) Any violation of section 3735 (relating to homicide 20000S1486B2077 - 2 -

3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
