AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, prohibiting the sale or possession of
3 box cutters by minors.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6304.1. Sale and use of box cutters.
9 A person commits a misdemeanor of the third degree if he
10 sells, causes to be sold, gives or furnishes to any person 18
11 years of age or younger or if he, being 18 years of age or
12 younger, purchases, accepts, receives or possesses a box cutter
13 or retractable blade utility knife.
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
