A RESOLUTION 1 Commemorating September 17, 2000, as the 213th birthday 2 anniversary of the Constitution of the United States and 3 designating the week of September 17 through 23, 2000, as 4 "Constitution Week 2000" in Pennsylvania. 5 WHEREAS, On September 17, 2000, the Constitution of the 6 United States will be 213 years old; and 7 WHEREAS, The Constitution of the United States serves as the 8 cornerstone of our democracy and a guiding light to our nation; 9 and 10 WHEREAS, Various activities and programs, including "I signed 11 the Constitution" events, are being held throughout our great 12 nation during the week of September 17 through 23, 2000, which 13 will be known as "Constitution Week 2000"; therefore be it
1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives commemorate 2 September 17, 2000, as the 213th birthday anniversary of the 3 Constitution of the United States and designate the week of 4 September 17 through 23, 2000, as "Constitution Week 2000" in 5 Pennsylvania; and be it further 6 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives encourage all of 7 the citizens of this Commonwealth to participate in the various 8 activities and programs throughout "Constitution Week 2000."
