A RESOLUTION 1 Declaring April 20, 1999, as "Climate Day" in Pennsylvania. 2 WHEREAS, It is important to increase the public's awareness 3 of the climate in relation to the everyday world; and 4 WHEREAS, Our forests and agricultural resources are unique 5 treasurers of this Commonwealth and their health and 6 preservation rely heavily on our climate; and 7 WHEREAS, Students should focus on important climate issues 8 and debate such issues in the classroom and will benefit from 9 experiments, forums and other dedicated activities that 10 highlight the importance of climate; and 11 WHEREAS, It is important for the general public as well to 12 understand the importance of weather and climate to our quality 13 of life; therefore be it 14 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives declare April 20, 15 1999, as "Climate Day" in Pennsylvania.
