AN ACT
1 Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for stipends to persons
3 enrolled in an officer candidate school.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes
7 is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 3106. Stipends for persons in officer candidate school.
9 Any member of the Pennsylvania National Guard who is enrolled
10 in an officer candidate school shall be entitled to receive a
11 stipend of $3,000 per year, not to exceed two years, payable at
12 such times and in such amounts during each year as the Adjutant
13 General may determine. This amount shall be payable whether or
14 not the member is a recipient of a grant under section 3205
15 (relating to amount of grants) and whether or not the member is
16 attending a college or other institution of higher learning.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
