AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," further providing for basic education
6 grants for the Link-to-Learn program.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Section 1503-A(a) of the act of March 10, 1949
10 (P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949,
11 amended June 25, 1997 (P.L.297, No.30), is amended to read:
12 Section 1503-A. Basic Education Grants.--(a) Grants shall
13 be allocated to school districts, approved private schools as
14 defined by 22 Pa. Code Ch. 171.11 (relating to definitions) and
15 to area vocational-technical schools by the department from
16 funds appropriated for this purpose. A nonpublic school, an
17 intermediate unit or local library may participate in the grant
18 process through a partnership with a school district.
