                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing for motorcycle parking.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 3354 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     6  Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
     7  § 3354.  Additional parking regulations.

     9     (e.1)  Motorcycle parking.--Notwithstanding the provisions of
    10  section 6301 (relating to prosecutions under local ordinances
    11  superseded by title) regarding parking violations, a local
    12  ordinance may not prohibit nor cite as a violation the parallel
    13  or angle occupancy by one or more motorcycles in any parking

     1  space on any highway otherwise available for parking for other
     2  individual vehicles, provided that the space occupied by one or
     3  more motorcycles does not exceed the space within which a single
     4  vehicle must park. In the instance of a violation applicable to
     5  any single vehicle, each motorcycle so parked shall be
     6  individually liable for any violation as if the motorcycle were
     7  the sole occupant of the parking space.

     9     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
