AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Education for
2 special education of exceptional children.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $12,000,000, or as much thereof as may
6 be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Department of
7 Education for the fiscal year July 1, 1999, to June 30, 2000,
8 for payments on account of special education of exceptional
9 children. This appropriation shall be in addition to any other
10 amounts appropriated for the same or similar purposes for the
11 fiscal year July 1, 1999, to June 30, 2000. No funds from this
12 appropriation may be spent until enabling legislation is
13 enacted.
14 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
