AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 31, 1949 (P.L.372, No.34), entitled
2 "An act to promote the welfare of the people of the
3 Commonwealth; creating The General State Authority as a body
4 corporate and politic with power to construct, improve,
5 equip, furnish, and operate projects, and to lease the same,
6 and to fix fees, rentals, and charges for the use thereof;
7 authorizing and regulating the issuance of bonds for said
8 Authority, and providing for the payment of such bonds, and
9 the rights of the holders thereof; and to enter into
10 agreements with the Government of the United States or any
11 Federal agency; and authorizing the Department of Property
12 and Supplies to grant, assign, convey, or lease to the
13 Authority lands of the Commonwealth and interests therein,
14 and to acquire lands therefor; granting the right of eminent
15 domain; empowering The General State Authority to sell and
16 convey projects and property to the Commonwealth; and
17 providing that no debt of the Commonwealth shall be incurred
18 in the exercise of any of the powers granted by this act,"
19 deleting provisions relating to bonds of the General State
20 Authority, remedies of bondholders, leases and exemption from
21 taxation.
22 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
23 hereby enacts as follows:
24 Section 1. Sections 5, 6, 9.2 and 15 of the act of March 31,
25 1949 (P.L.372, No.34), known as The General State Authority Act
26 of one thousand nine hundred forty-nine, are repealed.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
