                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for the observance of "Pennsylvania Agriculture Day"
     2     and "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week" to coincide with the
     3     annual observance of "National Agriculture Day" and "National
     4     Agriculture Week."

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7  Section 1.  Designation of "Agriculture Day" and "Agriculture
     8                 Week."
     9     The first day of spring and the first week of spring are
    10  hereby designated "Pennsylvania Agriculture Day" and
    11  "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week," respectively. If "National


     1  Agriculture Day" and "National Agriculture Week" are observed
     2  other than on the first day of spring or during the first week
     3  of spring, respectively, the observance of "Pennsylvania
     4  Agriculture Day" and "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week" shall
     5  coincide with the day and week selected for the national
     6  observance.
     7  Section 2.  Proclamation by Governor.
     8     The Governor shall issue a proclamation each year calling
     9  upon the people of this Commonwealth to recognize "Pennsylvania
    10  Agriculture Day" and "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week."
    11  Section 3.  Effective date.
    12     This act shall take effect immediately.
