HOUSE BILL

                                     AN ACT

     1  Authorizing and directing the Department of Transportation, with
     2     the approval of the Governor, to sell and convey to the
     3     United States of America, certain land situate in the
     4     Township of Moon, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

     5     The General Assembly finds the following:
     6     Section 1.  The Department of Transportation, with the
     7  approval of the Governor, is hereby authorized and directed on
     8  behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to grant, sell and
     9  convey to the United States of America for the sum of $1.00 the
    10  following tract of land.
    11     A certain parcel of land situate in the Commonwealth of
    12  Pennsylvania, Allegheny County, Township of Moon, being adjacent
    13  to Pittsburgh International Airport and more particularly
    14  described as follows:
    15     Commencing at a point on the easterly right-of-way line for
    16  State Route 3109 (Beer School Road), said point being located
    17  approximately north 20 degrees 44 minutes 20 seconds east 237
    18  feet from the intersection of the centerlines of said State


     1  Route 3109 and Business Route 60 (Legislative Route 1057);
     2  thence running and binding along the northerly right-of-way line
     3  for Legislative Route 1057, the following courses and distances;
     4  south 79 degrees 46 minutes 40 seconds east 610.80 feet to the
     5  True Point of Beginning; thence north 10 degrees 13 minutes 20
     6  seconds east 75.00 feet, south 79 degrees 46 minutes 40 seconds
     7  east 672.31 feet, north 65 degrees 13 minutes 40 seconds east
     8  33.98 feet, by a curve to the left having a radius of 60.00
     9  feet, an arc length of 125.66 feet, subtended by a chord bearing
    10  south 84 degrees 46 minutes 20 seconds east 103.92 feet, south
    11  54 degrees 46 minutes 20 seconds east 67.51 feet, south 79
    12  degrees 46 minutes 40 seconds east 588.38 feet, by a curve to
    13  the left having a radius of 2,500 feet, an arc length of 53.81
    14  feet, subtended by a chord bearing south 79 degrees 09 minutes
    15  40 seconds east 53.81 feet, south 11 degrees 27 minutes 20
    16  seconds west 69.00 feet, south 76 degrees 35 minutes 40 seconds
    17  east 204.85 feet; thence leaving said northerly right-of-way
    18  line of Legislative Route 1057, south 10 degrees 48 minutes 17
    19  seconds west 124.92 feet, north 79 degrees 02 minutes 21 seconds
    20  west 103.58 feet, north 79 degrees 07 minutes 20 seconds west
    21  827.68 feet, north 72 degrees 36 minutes 48 seconds west 146.13
    22  feet, north 59 degrees 30 minutes 27 seconds west 90.40 feet,
    23  north 66 degrees 22 minutes 06 seconds west 179.13 feet, north
    24  79 degrees 46 minutes 41 seconds west 149.68 feet, north 72
    25  degrees 24 minutes 24 seconds west 225.76 feet to the true Point
    26  of Beginning.
    27     Containing 270,798 square feet or 6.22 acres, more or less.
    28     The bearings used in this description are referenced to the
    29  Pennsylvania State Plane Coordinate System.
    30     It is the intention of the foregoing description to include a

     1  portion of land as acquired by the Pennsylvania Department of
     2  Transportation as a right-of-way easement for Business Route 60
     3  (Legislative Route 1057).
     4     Section 2.  The conveyance shall be made under and subject to
     5  all easements, servitudes and rights of others, including, but
     6  not confined to, streets, roadways and rights of any telephone,
     7  telegraph, water, electric, sewer, gas or pipeline companies, as
     8  well as under and subject to any interest, estates or tenancies
     9  vested in third persons, whether or not appearing of record, for
    10  any portion of the land or improvements erected thereon.
    11     Section 3.  The deed of conveyance shall contain the
    12  following provisions:
    13         (1)  A clause permitting construction and operation of
    14     parking lots, paved areas and buffer areas from public
    15     roadways.
    16         (2)  A clause prohibiting the construction of permanent
    17     structures.
    18     Section 4.  The deed of conveyance shall be approved as
    19  provided by law and shall be executed by the Secretary of
    20  Transportation in the name of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
    21     Section 5.  Costs and fees incidental to this conveyance
    22  shall be borne by the grantee.
    23     Section 6.  This act shall take effect immediately.
