SENATE BILL

No. 1346 Session of 1998


        INTRODUCED BY PICCOLA, MOWERY, PUNT, CONTI, TILGHMAN, FUMO AND
           THOMPSON, MARCH 6, 1998

        REFERRED TO APPROPRIATIONS, MARCH 6, 1998

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making an appropriation to the Museum of Scientific Discovery in
     2     Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  The sum of $100,000 is hereby appropriated to the
     6  Museum of Scientific Discovery in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, for
     7  the fiscal year July 1, 1998, to June 30, 1999, for operating
     8  expenses, including maintenance and the purchase of apparatus,
     9  supplies and equipment.
    10     Section 2.  Payment to the Museum of Scientific Discovery on
    11  account of the appropriation provided in section 1 shall be made
    12  on or before October 1, 1998, by the Executive Director of the
    13  Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
    14     Section 3.  The Museum of Scientific Discovery shall provide
    15  full, complete and accurate information as may be required by
    16  the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission or the
    17  chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations


     1  Committee of the Senate or the chairman or the minority chairman
     2  of the Appropriations Committee of the House of Representatives.
     3     Section 4.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, or
     4  immediately, whichever is later.
