AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Afro-American Historical and
2 Cultural Museum for operating expenses.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. The sum of $256,000 $282,000 is hereby <--
6 appropriated to the Afro-American Historical and Cultural
7 Museum, Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1, 1998, to June
8 30, 1999, for operating expenses, including maintenance and the
9 purchase of apparatus, supplies and equipment.
10 Section 2. Payments to the Afro-American Historical and
11 Cultural Museum on account of the appropriation provided in
12 section 1 shall be made quarterly by the Executive Director of
13 the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
14 Section 3. The Afro-American Historical and Cultural Museum
15 shall provide full, complete and accurate information as may be
16 required by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission or
17 the majority chairman or the minority chairman of the
1 Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the majority chairman
2 or the minority chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the
3 House of Representatives.
4 Section 4. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998, or
5 immediately, whichever is later.
