AMENDMENTS TO SENATE AMENDMENTS, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, NOVEMBER 24, 1998
AN ACT 1 Designating a section of Allegheny Avenue (SR 1013) in 2 Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, as Roxanne H. Jones 3 Avenue; designating Route 78 in Lebanon County as the 78th 4 Division Highway; DESIGNATING STATE ROUTE 248 IN LEHIGH AND <-- 5 NORTHAMPTON COUNTIES AS THE POW/MIA REMEMBRANCE HIGHWAY; 6 designating a section of State Route 222 as the Prisoner of 7 War/Missing in Action Highway; and designating the Arthur F. 8 Detisch Memorial Bridge in Erie County. 9 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 10 hereby enacts as follows: 11 Section 1. Roxanne H. Jones Avenue. 12 (a) Designation.--That section of Allegheny Avenue (SR 1013) 13 in Philadelphia County, beginning on Ridge Avenue and ending at 14 Sedgley Avenue, is hereby designated and shall also be known as 15 Roxanne H. Jones Avenue. 16 (b) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and 17 maintain road signs, which shall display the name of Roxanne H. 18 Jones Avenue, at the beginning and the end of the section of the
1 avenue designated in subsection (a). 2 Section 2. 78th Division Highway. 3 (a) Designation.--Route 78 in Lebanon County is hereby 4 redesignated and shall be known as the 78th Division Highway. 5 (b) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and 6 maintain road signs, which shall display the name 78th Division 7 Highway at the beginning and the end of the highway designated 8 in subsection (a). 9 Section 3. Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Highway. 10 (a) Designation of highway.--State Route 222 in Ontelaunee 11 Township, Berks County, from Segment 362, at the Kutztown 12 Highway to the intersection with Warren Street, Segment 202, in 13 Wyomissing Borough, Berks County, is hereby designated and shall 14 also be known as the Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Highway. 15 (b) Road signs.--The Department of Transportation shall 16 erect and maintain road signs, which shall display the name 17 Prisoner of War/Missing in Action Highway, at the beginning and 18 the end of the road designated in this section. 19 Section 4. Arthur F. Detisch Memorial Bridge. 20 (a) Designation.--The bridge on State Route 832, on 21 Peninsula Drive, Millcreek Township, Erie County, which crosses 22 over the railway tracks of the Norfolk Southern Railway or of 23 any successor, is designated and shall be known as the Arthur F. 24 Detisch Memorial Bridge. 25 (b) Markers.--The Department of Transportation shall erect 26 and maintain appropriate markers or signs to indicate this 27 designation to motorists. 28 SECTION 5. POW/MIA REMEMBRANCE HIGHWAY. <-- 29 (A) DESIGNATION.--STATE ROUTE 248 IN LEHIGH AND NORTHAMPTON 30 COUNTIES IS HEREBY DESIGNATED THE POW/MIA REMEMBRANCE HIGHWAY. 19970S1193B2314 - 2 -
1 (B) SIGNS.--THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SHALL ERECT AND
2 MAINTAIN THE APPROPRIATE SIGNS TO INDICATE THIS DESIGNATION TO
3 MOTORISTS.
