                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for a Statewide ballot question relating to limited
     2     electronic gaming.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Electronic gaming referendum.
     6     (a)  Authorization.--The Secretary of the Commonwealth shall
     7  cause to be placed on the ballot, at the primary or general
     8  election next following the effective date of this section, a
     9  referendum to determine the will of the electorate of the
    10  Commonwealth with respect to the passage of a Limited Electronic
    11  Gaming Act. The referendum shall be advertised and conducted in
    12  accordance with the provisions of the act of June 3, 1937
    13  (P.L.1333, No.320), known as the Pennsylvania Election Code.
    14     (b)  Form of question.--The question shall be in
    15  substantially the following form:
    16         Shall Pennsylvania expand the State Lottery through the
    17         licensing and regulation of limited electronic gaming in


     1         certain liquor-licensed establishments in order to
     2         provide additional funding for senior citizens' programs,
     3         local school districts, colleges, universities, municipal
     4         government operations and county government operations?
     5  Section 2.  Effective date.
     6     This act shall take effect immediately.
