AN ACT
1 Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for nonpermissible
3 reimbursement of expenses.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 2533 of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
8 § 2533. Report of intermediary.

10 (e) Nonpermissible reimbursement of expenses.--An
11 intermediary shall not solicit or accept a contribution from an
12 adoptive parent unless the contribution is equivalent in value
13 to the cost of, and tendered as payment for, an adoption service
14 actually performed for the adoptive parent by the intermediary.
15 An intermediary shall not give or offer to give an individual
16 preferential treatment in connection with an adoption service in
17 return for a contribution from or on behalf of that individual.
18 The term "contribution" as used in this subsection means the
1 payment of money or donation of goods or services.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
