                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of April 22, 1949 (P.L.715, No.175), entitled
     2     "An act empowering, authorizing and directing the Secretary
     3     of Highways to acquire toll bridges located wholly within
     4     Pennsylvania; providing the procedure therefor, and
     5     prescribing certain duties of the Governor, the Auditor
     6     General and the State Treasurer to be exercised in connection
     7     therewith; conferring jurisdiction in condemnation
     8     proceedings on certain courts of common pleas; authorizing
     9     the Secretary of Highways to enter into agreements with a
    10     state authority or agency for the acquisition of such toll
    11     bridges; providing for the operation of such bridges as toll
    12     bridges after acquisition, providing a plan for making such
    13     bridges free bridges under certain terms and conditions, and
    14     for their control and maintenance after acquisition; and
    15     making an appropriation," repealing provisions relating to
    16     costs of condemnation proceedings and to appropriation for
    17     the Toll Bridge Fund.

    18     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    19  hereby enacts as follows:
    20     Section 1.  Sections 11 and 18 of the act of April 22, 1949
    21  (P.L.715, No.175), entitled "An act empowering, authorizing and
    22  directing the Secretary of Highways to acquire toll bridges
    23  located wholly within Pennsylvania; providing the procedure
    24  therefor, and prescribing certain duties of the Governor, the

     1  Auditor General and the State Treasurer to be exercised in
     2  connection therewith; conferring jurisdiction in condemnation
     3  proceedings on certain courts of common pleas; authorizing the
     4  Secretary of Highways to enter into agreements with a state
     5  authority or agency for the acquisition of such toll bridges;
     6  providing for the operation of such bridges as toll bridges
     7  after acquisition, providing a plan for making such bridges free
     8  bridges under certain terms and conditions, and for their
     9  control and maintenance after acquisition; and making an
    10  appropriation," are repealed.
    11     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
