        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS, OCTOBER 8, 1997

                                     AN ACT

     1  Making an appropriation to the Pennsylvania Emergency Management
     2     Agency for reimbursement of certain political subdivisions
     3     for repairs incurred in coping with flooding.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  The sum of $3,115,000, or as much thereof as may
     7  be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Pennsylvania
     8  Emergency Management Agency for the fiscal year July 1, 1997, to
     9  June 30, 1998, for the purpose of providing reimbursement for
    10  expenses incurred by various political subdivisions in
    11  responding to flooding on or about July 1, 1997. The
    12  appropriation shall be allocated as follows:
    13         (1)  Municipality of Monroeville               $1,000,000
    14         (2)  Municipality of Pitcairn                   1,500,000
    15         (3)  Turtle Creek Borough                          10,000

     1         (4)  Wilkins Township                               5,000
     2         (5)  Gateway School District                      600,000
     3     Section 2.  The appropriation in section 1 shall be in
     4  addition to any other appropriation made to the Pennsylvania
     5  Emergency Management Agency.
     6     Section 3.  This act shall take effect immediately.
