HOUSE BILL

        AS REPORTED FROM COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION, HOUSE OF
           REPRESENTATIVES, AS AMENDED, JANUARY 20, 1998

                                     AN ACT

     1  Designating a section of SR 0073 in Montgomery County,
     2     Pennsylvania as the POW/MIA Memorial Highway; AND DESIGNATING  <--
     3     A BRIDGE IN CHESTER COUNTY AS THE MORTY GODRA MEMORIAL
     4     BRIDGE.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  (A)  The section of SR 0073 in Whitpain Township,  <--
     8  Montgomery County, between North Wales Road and Butler Pike, is
     9  designated and shall be known as the POW/MIA Memorial Highway.
    10     Section 2. (B)  The Department of Transportation shall erect   <--
    11  and maintain appropriate signs identifying the above portion of
    12  road as the POW/MIA Memorial Highway.
    13     SECTION 2.  (A)  THE BRIDGE LOCATED ON SR 3079, FIVE POINT     <--
    14  ROAD, HIGHLAND TOWNSHIP, CHESTER COUNTY, OVER FAWN RUN IS
    15  DESIGNATED AND SHALL BE KNOWN AS THE MORTY GODRA MEMORIAL
    16  BRIDGE.
    17     (B)  THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SHALL ERECT AND
    18  MAINTAIN APPROPRIATE SIGNS IDENTIFYING THE BRIDGE DESIGNATED IN

     1  SUBSECTION (A) AS THE MORTY GODRA MEMORIAL BRIDGE.
     2     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
