AMENDMENTS TO SENATE AMENDMENTS, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
JANUARY 20, 1998
AN ACT
1 Designating a section of U.S. Route 15 in Union County,
2 Pennsylvania, as the Donald L. Heiter Memorial Highway;
3 designating a section of Route 3013 in Westmoreland County,
4 Pennsylvania, as the C. Vance DeiCas Memorial Highway;
5 designating a section of S.R. 981 in Unity Township,
6 Westmoreland County, as Technology Way; designating a bridge
7 in Curwensville Borough, Clearfield County, as the Louis R.
8 Donahue Memorial Bridge; designating a certain bridge on S.R.
9 2012 in Castanea Township, Clinton County, as the Castanea
10 Firemen's Memorial Bridge; redesignating the Fifth Street <--
11 Bridge in the City of Chester, Delaware County, Pennsylvania,
12 as the Samuel E. Dennis Bridge; and designating a certain
13 bridge crossing the Juniata River as the Mifflin County
14 Veterans Memorial Bridge.
15 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
16 hereby enacts as follows:
17 Section 1. Donald L. Heiter Memorial Highway.
18 (a) Highway designation.--That section of U.S. Route 15 in
19 Union County, beginning at the Lewisburg Borough and East
20 Buffalo Township line near Limestone Run, and proceeding north
21 to the Lewisburg Borough and Kelly Township line near Buffalo
22 Creek, is hereby designated and shall be known as the Donald L.
23 Heiter Memorial Highway.
1 (b) Markers.--The Department of Transportation shall erect
2 and maintain road signs, which shall display the name of Donald
3 L. Heiter Memorial Highway, at the beginning and the end of the
4 section of the highway designated in subsection (a).
5 Section 2. C. Vance DeiCas Memorial Highway.
6 (a) Highway designation.--That section of Route 3013 in
7 Westmoreland County, beginning on Interstate 70 and ending at
8 the Donora-Monessen Bridge, is hereby designated and shall be
9 known as the C. Vance DeiCas Memorial Highway.
10 (b) Markers.--The Department of Transportation shall erect
11 and maintain road signs, which shall display the name of C.
12 Vance DeiCas Memorial Highway, at the beginning and the end of
13 the section of the highway designated in subsection (a).
14 Section 3. Technology Way.
15 (a) Highway designation.--The portion of S.R. 981 in Unity
16 Township, Westmoreland County, from the intersection with U.S.
17 Route 30 to the intersection with Gravel Hill Road (T-705) is
18 hereby designated as Technology Way.
19 (b) Markers.--The Department of Transportation shall erect
20 and maintain road signs which shall display the name of
21 Technology Way at the beginning and end of the section of
22 highway designated in subsection (a).
23 Section 4. Louis R. Donahue Memorial Bridge.
24 (a) Designation.--The bridge newly erected over Anderson
25 Creek in Curwensville Borough, Clearfield County, is hereby
26 designated and shall be known as the Louis R. Donahue Memorial
27 Bridge.
28 (b) Markers.--The Department of Transportation shall erect
29 and maintain road signs, which shall display the name of Louis
30 R. Donahue Memorial Bridge, at the beginning and the end of the

1 bridge designated in subsection (a).
2 Section 5. Castanea Firemen's Memorial Bridge.
3 (a) Bridge designation.--The bridge located on S.R. 2012
4 over the Bald Eagle Creek in Castanea Township, Clinton County,
5 on Segment 24 at Offset 435 is hereby designated and shall be
6 known as the Castanea Firemen's Memorial Bridge.
7 (b) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
8 maintain at each side of the bridge a sign displaying the name
9 of the bridge.
10 Section 6. Fifth Street Bridge. <--
11 (a) Bridge redesignation.--The Fifth Street Bridge in the
12 City of Chester, Delaware County, is hereby redesignated and
13 shall be known as the Samuel E. Dennis Bridge.
14 (b) Markers.--The Department of Transportation shall erect
15 appropriate markers or signs to indicate the redesignation under
16 subsection (a).
17 Section 7 6. Mifflin County Veterans Memorial Bridge. <--
18 (a) Designation.--The bridge carrying State Route 103 over
19 the Juniata River between Lewistown Borough and Granville
20 Township in Mifflin County is designated as the Mifflin County
21 Veterans Memorial Bridge.
22 (b) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
23 maintain at each side of the bridge a sign stating the
24 designation.
25 Section 8 7. Effective date. <--
26 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
