                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing for stopping at posted cattle crossings.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 3710 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     6  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     7  § 3710.  Stopping at intersection or crossing to prevent
     8             obstruction.
     9     (a)  Intersections, crosswalks, railroad crossings.--No
    10  driver shall enter an intersection or a crosswalk or drive onto
    11  any railroad grade crossing unless there is sufficient space on
    12  the other side of the intersection, crosswalk or railroad grade
    13  crossing to accommodate the vehicle operated without obstructing
    14  the passage of other vehicles, pedestrians or railroad trains
    15  notwithstanding any traffic-control signal indication to
    16  proceed.
    17     (b)  Cattle crossings.--No driver shall enter a posted cattle


     1  crossing when animals are present in or passing through the
     2  crossing. The department shall promulgate regulations relating
     3  to the proper size and placement of any cattle crossing signs. A
     4  violation of this subsection is a summary offense punishable by
     5  a fine of not less than $50.
     6     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
