AN ACT 1 Amending the act of May 8, 1919 (P.L.148, No.102), entitled "An 2 act providing for the joint acquisition and maintenance by 3 the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey 4 of certain toll-bridges over the Delaware River," adding 5 members of the commission. 6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 7 hereby enacts as follows: 8 Section 1. Section 2 of the act of May 8, 1919 (P.L.148, 9 No.102), entitled "An act providing for the joint acquisition 10 and maintenance by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the 11 State of New Jersey of certain toll-bridges over the Delaware 12 River," amended February 26, 1925 (P.L.3, No.2), is amended to 13 read: 14 Section 2. [The Auditor General, State Treasurer, and 15 Secretary of Highways of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and 16 two citizens of the Commonwealth to be appointed by the 17 Governor,] (a) The State Treasurer, the Secretary of <-- 18 Transportation, both of whom shall serve ex officio, and five <-- 19 AND THREE public members, none of whom shall serve concurrently <--
1 in an elected Federal or State office, who shall be nominated <-- 2 APPOINTED by the Governor and subject to confirmation by a <-- 3 majority of the members elected to the Senate are hereby 4 constituted a commission to act in conjunction with a similar 5 commission of the State of New Jersey, as a joint commission for 6 the acquisition of the various toll-bridges over the Delaware 7 River between the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of 8 New Jersey. 9 (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, no <-- 10 member of the commission shall be deemed to have forfeited nor 11 shall forfeit the member's office or employment or any benefits 12 or emolument thereof by reason of the member's service as an ex 13 officio member of the commission. 14 Section 2. This act shall apply upon the enactment into law 15 by the State of New Jersey of legislation adding two members 16 from the State of New Jersey to the commission, but if the State 17 of New Jersey has already enacted such legislation, this act 18 shall apply immediately. 19 Section 3.
