AN ACT
1 Providing for the observance of "Pennsylvania Agriculture Day"
2 and "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week" to coincide with the
3 annual observance of "National Agriculture Day" and "National
4 Agriculture Week."
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Designation of "Agriculture Day" and "Agriculture
8 Week."
9 The first day of spring and the first week of spring are
10 hereby designated "Pennsylvania Agriculture Day" and
11 "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week," respectively. If "National
12 Agriculture Day" and "National Agriculture Week" are observed
13 other than on the first day of spring or during the first week
14 of spring, respectively, the observance of "Pennsylvania
15 Agriculture Day" and "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week" shall
16 coincide with the day and week selected for the national
17 observance.
1 Section 2. Proclamation by Governor.
2 The Governor shall issue a proclamation each year calling
3 upon the people of this Commonwealth to recognize "Pennsylvania
4 Agriculture Day" and "Pennsylvania Agriculture Week."
5 Section 3. Effective date.
6 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
