AN ACT 1 Amending the act of April 6, 1951 (P.L.69, No.20), entitled "An 2 act relating to the rights, obligations and liabilities of 3 landlord and tenant and of parties dealing with them and 4 amending, revising, changing and consolidating the law 5 relating thereto," further providing for the issuance and 6 service of a summons. 7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 8 hereby enacts as follows: 9 Section 1. Section 502 of the act of April 6, 1951 (P.L.69, 10 No.20), known as The Landlord and Tenant Act of 1951, is amended 11 by adding a subsection to read: 12 Section 502. Summons and Service.--* * * 13 (a.1) Where there is reason to believe that the tenant is 14 sixty years of age or older, the district justice shall attach 15 the following notice in large print form with eighteen point or 16 larger text to the summons: 17 YOUR LANDLORD HAS TAKEN LEGAL ACTION AGAINST YOU. IF THE 18 PROPERTY THAT YOU RENT IS YOUR PRIMARY RESIDENCE AND IF 19 YOU ARE 60 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER, CONTACT THE AREA AGENCY
