AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for occupational limited license.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Section 1553 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
6 Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
7 § 1553 Occupational limited license.

9 (i) License after hearing.--Notwithstanding the limitations
10 on issuing occupational limited licenses under this section, the
11 department shall issue an occupational limited license to a
12 driver who has served at least five years of a suspension of
13 operating privileges for an incident or incidents which did not
14 involve an accident if, after a hearing and such examinations as
15 the department shall require, the department determines that the
16 driver's character has improved to the extent that he is
17 unlikely to engage in further offenses of the type on which the
1 suspension or suspensions were based.
2 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
