AN ACT
1 Making an appropriation to the Department of Commerce for the
2 Defense Conversion Program for the 1995-1996 and 1996-1997
3 fiscal years.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. The sum of $10,000,000, or as much thereof as may
7 be necessary, is hereby appropriated to the Department of
8 Commerce for the establishment of the Defense Conversion Program
9 to be used for retraining of Pennsylvania residents who are
10 employed by the Federal Government in the defense industry. This
11 appropriation shall be for the fiscal periods July 1, 1995, to
12 June 30, 1997.
13 Section 2. This appropriation shall be in addition to any
14 other appropriations made for the same purpose.
15 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
