A RESOLUTION
1 Directing the Senate Committee on Environmental Resources and
2 Energy to investigate the overall operations of the
3 Department of Environmental Resources.
4 WHEREAS, Enforcement of laws, rules and regulations and
5 policies relating to the environment has a significant impact
6 upon the economy of this Commonwealth and the health, safety and
7 welfare of its citizens; therefore be it
8 RESOLVED, That the Senate Committee on Environmental
9 Resources and Energy conduct an investigation, using its full
10 powers, and prepare a report, of the overall operations of the
11 Department of Environmental Resources; and be it further
12 RESOLVED, That the sum of $100,000 be appropriated to the
13 Senate Committee on Environmental Resources and Energy for
14 purposes of conducting the investigation and preparing a report;
15 and be it further
16 RESOLVED, That the Senate Committee on Environmental
17 Resources and Energy submit a report to the entire Senate before
18 December 30, 1993.
