        INTRODUCED BY LEDERER, STURLA, MELIO, GODSHALL, ROEBUCK,
           MIHALICH, CORRIGAN, ROONEY, BELFANTI, LAUGHLIN, TRELLO,
           MANDERINO, HENNESSEY, MERRY, VEON, YOUNGBLOOD, RICHARDSON,
           KELLER, JAROLIN AND McGEEHAN, JUNE 16, 1994

        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, JUNE 16, 1994

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Directing the Speaker of the House to appoint a committee to
     2     investigate the high charge for pumped gasoline and recommend
     3     appropriate remedies.

     4     WHEREAS, Most persons having disabilities are unable to pump
     5  gasoline into their vehicles and are required to purchase
     6  gasoline pumped by station attendants; and
     7     WHEREAS, Pumped gasoline is considerably higher in price than
     8  gasoline pumped by the purchaser, sometimes as much as 60¢ more
     9  per gallon; therefore be it
    10     RESOLVED, That the Speaker of the House appoint a five-member
    11  committee to hold hearings on the extreme disparity between the
    12  price of purchaser-pumped and attendant-pumped gasoline and to
    13  make recommendations to the House of Representatives regarding a
    14  solution to this problem for citizens of this Commonwealth who
    15  have disabilities.
