        AS AMENDED, HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, OCTOBER 13, 1993

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Awarding citations to the Pennsylvania State Police and           <--
     2     OFFICERS, municipal police officers, SHERIFFS, DEPUTY          <--
     3     SHERIFFS, PAROLE OFFICERS AND PROBATION OFFICERS wounded in
     4     the line of duty.

     5     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and OFFICERS, municipal     <--
     6  police officers, SHERIFFS, DEPUTY SHERIFFS, PAROLE OFFICERS AND   <--
     7  PROBATION OFFICERS should be eligible to receive House citations
     8  when wounded in the line of duty; and
     9     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and OFFICERS, municipal     <--
    10  police officers, SHERIFFS, DEPUTY SHERIFFS, PAROLE OFFICERS AND   <--


     1  PROBATION OFFICERS do an invaluable service for the public which
     2  often goes unrecognized; and
     3     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and OFFICERS, municipal     <--
     4  police officers, SHERIFFS, DEPUTY SHERIFFS, PAROLE OFFICERS AND   <--
     5  PROBATION OFFICERS often put their lives at risk while upholding
     6  the laws of the Commonwealth; and
     7     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and OFFICERS, municipal     <--
     8  police officers, SHERIFFS, DEPUTY SHERIFFS, PAROLE OFFICERS AND   <--
     9  PROBATION OFFICERS wounded in the line of duty warrant the
    10  awarding of a citation; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives shall award
    12  citations to Pennsylvania State Police and OFFICERS, municipal    <--
    13  police officers, SHERIFFS, DEPUTY SHERIFFS, PAROLE OFFICERS AND   <--
    14  PROBATION OFFICERS wounded in the line of duty; and be it
    15  further
    16     RESOLVED, That citations may be requested by members of the
    17  House of Representatives to honor Pennsylvania State Police and   <--
    18  OFFICERS, municipal police officers, SHERIFFS, DEPUTY SHERIFFS,   <--
    19  PAROLE OFFICERS AND PROBATION OFFICERS wounded in the line of
    20  duty.
