        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, SEPTEMBER 29, 1993

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Awarding citations to the Pennsylvania State Police and
     2     municipal police officers wounded in the line of duty.

     3     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and municipal police
     4  officers should be eligible to receive House citations when
     5  wounded in the line of duty; and
     6     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and municipal police
     7  officers do an invaluable service for the public which often
     8  goes unrecognized; and
     9     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and municipal police
    10  officers often put their lives at risk while upholding the laws


     1  of the Commonwealth; and
     2     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania State Police and municipal police
     3  officers wounded in the line of duty warrant the awarding of a
     4  citation; therefore be it
     5     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives shall award
     6  citations to Pennsylvania State Police and municipal police
     7  officers wounded in the line of duty; and be it further
     8     RESOLVED, That citations may be requested by members of the
     9  House of Representatives to honor Pennsylvania State Police and
    10  municipal police officers wounded in the line of duty.
