AN ACT
1 Amending the act of July 28, 1953 (P.L.723, No.230), entitled,
2 as amended, "An act relating to counties of the second class
3 and second class A; amending, revising, consolidating and
4 changing the laws relating thereto," further providing for
5 the powers and duties of the Allegheny Regional Asset
6 District regarding employment and compensation of certain
7 persons.
8 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
9 hereby enacts as follows:
10 Section 1. Section 3112-B(a)(16) of the act of July 28, 1953
11 (P.L.723, No.230), known as the Second Class County Code, added
12 December 22, 1993 (P.L.529, No.77), is amended to read:
13 Section 3112-B. Powers and Duties.--* * *
14 (16) To appoint an executive director and all officers,
15 agents and employes required for the performance of its duties
16 and fix and determine their qualifications, duties and
17 compensation and retain or employ other agents or consultants.
18 The salary of the executive director shall not exceed that of
19 the chairman of the county commissioners or the mayor of the
20 city, whichever is higher. The board shall develop, implement
1 and evaluate plans and process to assure that all persons are
2 accorded equality of opportunity in employment and contracting
3 by the board.
