AN ACT
1 Making appropriations to the Wistar Institute-Research,
2 Philadelphia.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. (a) The sum of $237,000 $387,000 is hereby <--
6 appropriated to the Wistar Institute-Research, Philadelphia, for
7 the fiscal year July 1, 1994, to June 30, 1995, for the
8 operation and maintenance of the institute. Payment of this
9 appropriation shall be made by the Secretary of Health in equal
10 quarterly payments.
11 (b) The sum of $102,000 is hereby appropriated to the Wistar
12 Institute-Research, Philadelphia, for the fiscal year July 1,
13 1994, to June 30, 1995, for research on acquired immune
14 deficiency syndrome.
15 Section 2. The Wistar Institute-Research shall provide full,
16 complete and accurate information as may be required by the
17 Department of Health or the majority chairman or the minority
1 chairman of the Appropriations Committee of the Senate or the
2 majority chairman or the minority chairman of the Appropriations
3 Committee of the House of Representatives.
4 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1994, or
5 immediately, whichever is later.
