AN ACT
1 Amending Title 30 (Fish) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for liability for damage caused
3 by operator.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 5504 of Title 30 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 5504. Liability for damage caused by operator.
9 Every owner of a watercraft negligently causing or
10 [knowingly] permitting any person to operate the watercraft in,
11 upon or through the waters of this Commonwealth, and any person
12 who negligently leases or furnishes a watercraft to any other
13 person, shall be jointly and severally liable with the other
14 person for damages arising out of any act or occurrence in the
15 operation of the watercraft.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
