A SUPPLEMENT 1 To the act of June 27, 1974 (P.L.384, No.131), entitled "An act 2 authorizing the Department of Property and Supplies, with the 3 approval of the Secretary of Public Welfare and the Governor, 4 to convey 100 acres of land, more or less, situate in the 5 Township of South Abington, Lackawanna County, Commonwealth 6 of Pennsylvania, to the Township of Abington, the Borough of 7 Clarks Green, the Borough of Clarks Summit, the Township of 8 Glenburn, and the Township of South Abington, for a 9 recreation site," authorizing Abington Township to convey its 10 interest in the property to the other grantees. 11 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 12 hereby enacts as follows: 13 Section 1. The following words and phrases when used in this 14 act shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless 15 the context clearly indicates otherwise: 16 "Act 131." The act of June 27, 1974 (P.L.384, No.131), 17 entitled "An act authorizing the Department of Property and 18 Supplies, with the approval of the Secretary of Public Welfare 19 and the Governor, to convey 100 acres of land, more or less, 20 situate in the Township of South Abington, Lackawanna County, 21 Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, to the Township of Abington, the
1 Borough of Clarks Green, the Borough of Clarks Summit, the 2 Township of Glenburn, and the Township of South Abington, for a 3 recreation site." 4 Section 2. The Township of Abington, Lackawanna County, is 5 hereby authorized to convey its interest in the property 6 described in section 1 of Act 131 to the Townships of Glenburn 7 and South Abington and the Boroughs of Clarks Green and Clarks 8 Summit for such consideration as the parties may agree upon. 9 Section 3. The Township of Abington is released from any 10 obligation under section 4 of Act 131, upon the conveyance 11 described in section 2 of this act. 12 Section 4. The Township of Abington is released from 13 membership in the Joint Advisory Board, as described in section 14 2 of Act 131, upon the conveyance described in section 2 of this 15 act. 16 Section 5. Nothing in this act shall be deemed to release 17 the Township of Abington from any duty or obligation incurred by 18 it in connection with the property described in Act 131, which 19 was incurred prior to the conveyance provided for in this act. 20 Section 6.
