        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON TRANSPORTATION, SEPTEMBER 29, 1993

                                     AN ACT

     1  Redesignating the Toby Creek Bridge located on State Route 1005
     2     in Clarion County as the Wayne Richard Weaver II Memorial
     3     Bridge.

     4     The General Assembly finds and declares as follows:
     5         (1)  Wayne Richard Weaver II of New Bethlehem,
     6     Pennsylvania, gave his life in the service of his country.
     7         (2)  Mr. Weaver was killed on board the U.S.S. Stark
     8     during an Iraqi missile attack in the Persian Gulf on May 17,
     9     1987.
    10         (3)  The bravery and sacrifice demonstrated by Mr. Weaver
    11     should not go unrecognized.
    12     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    13  hereby enacts as follows:
    14  Section 1.  Bridge designation.
    15     The Toby Creek Bridge, which is located on State Route 1005
    16  in Clarion County, is hereby redesignated and shall be known as


     1  the Wayne Richard Weaver II Memorial Bridge.
     2  Section 2.  Markers.
     3     The Department of Transportation shall erect suitable markers
     4  to implement this act.
     5  Section 3.  Effective date.
     6     This act shall take effect immediately.
