AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for Department of Transportation towing
3 vehicles.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 6117. Department towing vehicles.
9 The department shall not purchase or operate towing vehicles
10 for the purpose of incident management on limited access
11 highways unless the secretary certifies that the service cannot
12 reasonably be provided by private towing services.
13 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
