AN ACT
1 Amending the act of June 23, 1931 (P.L.932, No.317), entitled
2 "An act relating to cities of the third class; and amending,
3 revising, and consolidating the law relating thereto,"
4 further defining the term "salary."
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 4309 of the act of June 23, 1931
8 (P.L.932, No.317), known as The Third Class City Code, reenacted
9 and amended June 28, 1951 (P.L.662, No.164), added December 17,
10 1990 (P.L.715, No.178), is amended to read:
11 Section 4309. Definitions.--As used in this subdivision, the
12 term "salary" is defined as the [fixed amount of] compensation
13 paid [at regular, periodic intervals] by the city to the member
14 for services performed in the course of the member's employment
15 and from which pension contributions [have been] shall be
16 deducted.
17 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
