AN ACT
1 Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
2 act relating to the public school system, including certain
3 provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
4 schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
5 laws relating thereto," further providing for ineligibility
6 for the office of school director.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Section 323 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30,
10 No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended to
11 read:
12 Section 323. Ineligibility.--(a) Any person who has held
13 any office of trust or profit under the laws of the United
14 States or of this Commonwealth, or in any county, city, borough,
15 incorporated town, or township therein, and has been removed
16 therefrom for any malfeasance in office, shall not be eligible
17 to the office of school director.
18 (b) Any person who, while occupying the office of elected
1 school director, is convicted of a felony, shall be
2 automatically removed from that office for the remainder of his
3 term and shall be ineligible for future election to the office
4 of school director.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
